Eyebrow Waxing
At Katie's Korner Salon, our experienced cosmetologists know that perfect eyebrow arches can transform your look. Its important not to take too much off because it can take months to grow eyebrows back. Here are some tips for the perfect eyebrow from HairStyle Showcase magazine, Summer 2014 Issue:
1. The space between the eyebrows should be equal to or a tiny bit wider than the eye itself.
2. To estimate where the brow should start - take a pencil or pen and hold it vertically up against the side of the nose. Where the pencil meets the brow is where the eyebrow should start.
3. To estimate where the brow should end - extend a pencil diagonally from the nostril and follow the distal edge of the eye toward the brow. Where the inside edge of the pencil touches the brow is where the eyebrow should end.
4. Remember that no two brows are alike, and one person may have asymmetrical eyebrows as well. It isn't necessary to get them to look exactly the same. Pick the best one, and then shape the other one proportionally.
5. A slight arch is desirable. Determine the shape of the arch by holding a pencil vertically against the distal edge of the iris (the colored part of the eye). The top of the arch should be where the pencil meets the brow.
