Hair Blowouts
At Katie's Korner Salon, our expert hair stylists can create a no fuss, high styled look for your special occasion, a night out, or a day of shopping with the girls. Do you want to know how to create the perfect blowout? Follow these steps:
1. A blowout begins with applying a thickening lotion to damp hair. This helps create a smooth finish in the end.
2. Pin up the top layers of your hair, and start with the bottom layer. Depending on the thickness of your hair, you will probably need to divide the hair into 3 or 4 layers. You will need a medium sized round brush and a blow dryer.
3. Grap the roots of the hair with the round brush, and hold the blow dryer against the hair. Point the dryer down to prevent fiz. Run the brush and dryer down the strands of the hair until you are finished drying the bottom layer.
4. Move on to the next layer and repeat step 3 until you are done drying your hair completely.
5. This step is optional - Spray a thermal straitening mist onto your hair. Glide a flat-iron over the strands of hair to smooth the hair and prevent fly-aways. Stop a few inches from the bottom of the hair.
6. Run a tiny bit of shine serum through the ends of the hair to create a glossy look.
